In the Rule List table, select \u201cNew Rule\u201d to begin the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">The setup process consists of three main tabs: Display Conditions, Content, and Advanced Setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[1em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Display conditions (optional)<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">The Display Conditions tab controls <span class=\"bg-blue-200 dark:bg-blue-900\">when the rule will be shown<\/span>. If <strong class=\"font-bold\">no conditions<\/strong> are set, the rule will apply to <strong class=\"font-bold\">All Products<\/strong> by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Once you add conditions, the rule will only appear if the conditions match. You can combine two types of conditions: Item and Location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"724\" height=\"393\" src=\"https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2025-02-20-at-10.55.07.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2787\" srcset=\"https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2025-02-20-at-10.55.07.png 724w, https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2025-02-20-at-10.55.07-300x163.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 724px) 100vw, 724px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.75em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Item conditions<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Item conditions determine which products, variants, collections, or vendors the rule will apply to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Condition logic<\/strong>: Choose between AND or OR logic to combine multiple item conditions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AND:<\/strong> All conditions must be met for the rule to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>OR:<\/strong> At least one condition must be met for the rule to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\"><strong>I<\/strong><strong class=\"font-bold\">tem condition<\/strong> is made up of two parts &#8211; a trigger and an item type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trigger: Choose either <strong class=\"font-bold\">Include<\/strong> or <strong class=\"font-bold\">Exclude<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Include: The rule will only show for included (or selected) items and won&#8217;t show for items not in the list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exclude: Contrary to &#8220;include&#8221; trigger, the rule won&#8217;t show for excluded (or selected) items and still show for items not in the list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Available item types: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Products, Variants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vendors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SKUs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product tags<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inventory locations: Based on locations where inventory is stored and fulfilled. (<a href=\"https:\/\/help.shopify.com\/en\/manual\/fulfillment\/setup\/locations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn more about Shopify inventory locations<\/a>). For example: If you add a &#8220;Inventory locations include&#8221;, products having inventory stored at that location will have the rule shown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product metafield\/Variant metafield: supported types \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supported types: single-line text, decimal, integer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can select multiple values of a metafield, can select multiple metafields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inventory quantity: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Define the minimum and maximum Total Available Quantity of products across ALL inventory locations (<a href=\"https:\/\/help.shopify.com\/en\/manual\/products\/inventory\/managing-inventory-quantities\/inventory-states\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn more about Shopify inventory states<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Special combination: When using &#8216;AND&#8217; logic with &#8216;Inventory Quantity&#8217;, you can choose to &#8220;Count inventory only from selected locations&#8221;:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Turn OFF \u2192 Counts the total available quantity across all inventory locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn ON \u2192 Counts only the available quantity from the selected locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Note:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can add each condition only once.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can only use 1 type of trigger at a time (e.g., \u201cProducts include\u201d + \u201cCollections include\u201d). Mixing Include and Exclude triggers in the same rule is not allowed (e.g., \u201cCollections include\u201d + \u201cVendors exclude\u201d) to avoid logical conflicts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the Maximum value of Inventory Quantity is set to <strong>0<\/strong>, the \u201cShow message for out-of-stock products\u201d feature will be disabled automatically, and the rule will follow the main setup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\"><strong class=\"font-bold\">Exceptions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">You can make specific products unaffected by rule. This is helpful when you\u2019ve set up an EDD for a collection, but certain products within that collection require a different EDD, which will need to be created in a separate rule, or don&#8217;t need EDD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you use an \u201cInclude\u201d condition for Collections, Vendors, Tags, etc., and add products as exceptions, the rule will show for included collections or vendors but not excepted products.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Similarly, if you use an \u201cExclude\u201d condition and add products as exceptions, the rule won\u2019t show for excluded collections or vendors, but will still show for excepted products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.75em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Location conditions<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Location conditions determine which regions, countries, states\/provinces, or zip codes the rule will apply to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">You cannot combine Region or Country conditions with Zip code conditions in the same rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.5em]\"><strong class=\"font-bold\">Regions, Countries condition<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Regions, Countries condition allows you to set up a rule for a specific country, multiple countries, or broader geographic regions (e.g., North America, European Union) all at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">For countries labeled with a \u201cNot in Shopify Markets\u201d badge, it means they aren\u2019t found in your store\u2019s <a class=\"underline underline-offset-2 text-primary hover:text-primary-700 transition-colors \" href=\"https:\/\/help.shopify.com\/en\/manual\/international\/managing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Markets settings<\/a>. You can still create an EDD rule for these countries, but it\u2019s recommended to add them to your Market settings first to avoid potential customer confusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.5em]\"><strong class=\"font-bold\">States\/Provinces condition<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">States\/Provinces condition requires you to first add a Regions, Countries condition and select only one country. Once a country is chosen, you can then specify states or provinces for that rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.5em]\"><strong class=\"font-bold\">Zipcode condition<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Zipcode condition allows you to specify either a set of zip codes or a range of zip codes. Only numeric zip codes are accepted. Customers will need to enter a valid zip code in order to view the EDD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[1em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Content (required)<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Where you configure the <span class=\"bg-blue-200 dark:bg-blue-900\">message to be displayed<\/span> and set the <span class=\"bg-blue-200 dark:bg-blue-900\">estimated delivery time<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.75em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Rule name<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">You can enter the name of the delivery method, carrier, or service type.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">If you want the rule name to be for internal purposes only, you can deselect the option to \u201cShow this rule name on store,\u201d ensuring it won\u2019t be visible to customers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.75em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Estimated date setup<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">The <strong>Estimated Date Setup<\/strong> section allows you to configure preparation and delivery times, ensuring that accurate estimated delivery dates are displayed to your customers. These settings define how long it takes for an order to be processed and shipped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">By default, all estimated dates are calculated from the <strong>order received date<\/strong>, but you can also enable <strong>Custom Date Calculation<\/strong> for pre-orders, restock alerts, and scheduled releases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"334\" src=\"https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2025-02-20-at-11.00.17-1024x334.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2788\" srcset=\"https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2025-02-20-at-11.00.17-1024x334.png 1024w, https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2025-02-20-at-11.00.17-300x98.png 300w, https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2025-02-20-at-11.00.17-768x251.png 768w, https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2025-02-20-at-11.00.17.png 1075w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">The following fields determine how the estimated preparation and delivery time is calculated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Preparation Time<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum Preparation Days \u2013 The shortest time required to prepare an order before shipping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum Preparation Days \u2013 The longest time required to prepare an order before shipping.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Delivery Time<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum Delivery Days \u2013 The shortest transit time required for the order to reach the customer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum Delivery Days \u2013 The longest transit time for delivery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Custom Date Calculation (Optional)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By default, all estimated dates are calculated from the <strong>order received date<\/strong>, you can enable <strong>\u201cCalculate from custom date\u201d<\/strong> within a rule to override the default order date calculation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This allows delivery estimates to be calculated from a <strong>specific date<\/strong> (e.g., a product launch, restock, or scheduled release) instead of the order date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All fields need to be filled in with whole numbers (0, 1, 2, &#8230;).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have a reasonable timeline, maximum days should be equal or greater than minimum days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the minimum value is set equal to the maximum value, it eliminates the date range, resulting in only a single date being displayed for the preparation and delivery stages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.75em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Message text<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">You can display the estimated date on the ETA banner by adding variables to the estimated text fields. Make sure to type these variables correctly and enclose them in curly brackets { } for accurate display:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>{TimeCountDown}: Countdown timer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>{delivery_min}: Minimum date of delivery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>{delivery_max}: Maximum date of delivery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>{prep_min}: Minimum date of preparation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>{prep_max}: Maximum date of preparation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>{country}: Name of country<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>{flag}: Flag of country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">If you want to change the text style of these variables, like making them bold or changing their colors, ensure you select the entire variable, including the curly brackets, before applying these style changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.75em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Tooltip<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Tooltip provides additional information in the form of a small pop-up, which can be used to include links to your shipping policy or any relevant notes for the customer. This helps clarify important details without cluttering the main message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[1em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Advanced setup (optional)<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">This allows for further customization of how the rule is displayed on the Cart and Checkout pages, as well as handling out-of-stock products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.75em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Show delivery estimates in Cart and Checkout<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Enable this option to display the rule on the cart and checkout pages for applicable items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">You can choose between two text options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong class=\"font-bold\">Message Text: <\/strong>Displays the message starting from the first date variable. Any text before the first date variable will not appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"font-bold\">Customize Text: <\/strong>Allows you to create a custom message specifically for the Cart\/Checkout page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[0.75em]\"><span class=\"text-blue-500\">Show message for out of stock products<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">This option is extremely helpful when you use together with <a class=\"underline underline-offset-2 text-primary hover:text-primary-700 transition-colors \" href=\"https:\/\/help.shopify.com\/en\/manual\/products\/inventory\/getting-started-with-inventory\/selling-when-out-of-stock\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Continue selling when out of stock<\/a> for products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">By default, the message is hidden when products are out of stock. You can enable this option to continue showing the message or customize it to provide details about restock times, pre-orders, etc. You can choose to use either the Message Text or Customize Text options for out-of-stock products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">You can create multiple rules combining item and location conditions to tailor content. For instance, a product may be in stock in Belgium but out of stock in Australia.
