If you are setting up, creating, or modifying any rules, you need to do in Default language first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Note that setting the language only determines how our system recognizes the language, not check what you actually type. Languages won\u2019t be visible to customers until activated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">To add and edit a language version:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Go to <strong class=\"font-bold\">Translation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>2. At Manage language version section, click <strong class=\"font-bold\">Add language<\/strong>. Select a language and click <strong class=\"font-bold\">Add<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Translate content of target language<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">Enter the translated content in the right column for the target language. Only content fields existing in rule setup will be visible and editable. If any translation field is left empty, the content will be displayed in the default language on store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can translate all text with a single click on Auto-translate button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"908\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1662 \/ 908;\" width=\"1662\" controls src=\"https:\/\/synctrack.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/CleanShot-2024-12-19-at-10.51.05.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading grid-area-1-1 z-[1] mt-[1em]\">Language detection method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"w-full mx-auto decoration-primary\/6 max-w-3xl page-api-block:ml-0\">This determines how our system will identify the store language or visitor location and switch to appropriate language version. You can choose 1 in 4 ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong class=\"font-bold\">Shop locale (Recommended)<\/strong>: Uses the location and language preference settings configured in Shopify to detect the store\u2019s language. Please noted that:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shop locale code can be different from URL path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ETA Checkout extension automatically uses the shop\u2019s locale, even if another detection method is selected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"font-bold\">IP Address<\/strong>: Detects the visitor\u2019s location via IP address and adjusts the language to the primary language spoken in that location.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"font-bold\">URL<\/strong>: Uses the URL path to determine the language. For example, if a URL contains \u201c\/de,\u201d the language will be detected as German. Note that URL path can be different from shop locale code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong class=\"font-bold\">Browser language<\/strong>: Detects the language settings of the visitor\u2019s browser and switches the content to match those settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note about shipping method names: <\/strong>Translating shipping method names is not supported. If a different tool is used to translate or rename shipping method, users must create separate ETA checkout rules for each translated name. Example: English: Economy Shipping; Vietnamese: Giao h\u00e0ng ti\u1ebft ki\u1ec7m -> Each name requires its own rule because the app counts them as different shipping methods.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The built-in translation feature enables you to localize content for each market.
